Worship music should be cheerful, yet solemn.--Those who make singing a part of divine worship should select hymns with music appropriate to the occasion, not funeral notes, but cheerful, yet solemn melodies.      The use of musical instruments to create a bedlam of noise, shocks the senses and perverts the worship.--The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January was represented to me would be brought into our camp meetings. The truth for this time needs nothing of this kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit's working.--2SM 36. {PaM 178.3}

 ²And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God

God & Saturn are not partners. The devil is called the arch deceiver by the pen of inspiration. A deceiver is one who perpetrates deception which is the commingling of truth and error.

Genesis 3:3-5 (King James Version)

 ³But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

 ⁴And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

 ⁵For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Adam and Eve were created perfect with no knowledge of good and evil. Now looking at how the devil deceived Eve he told her you shall not surely die which was the 1^st lie then he told her the truth that you shall know good & evil. Here  Saturn attacked God’s word and he still uses the same strategy. Now think of it if the devil was able to deceive Eve what about us who have been weakened by years of sin.

We are living in the last days and the devil knows very well that he has but a little time. The devil has an added advantage over Christ as God uses the truth to appeal to our hearts. We have to understand our enemy in order to know how he works.

Thou wast created." Ezekiel 28:13, 15. "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth." Ezekiel 28:14. "Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty ... every precious stone was thy covering ... the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. ... Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee." Ezekiel 28:12-15.

Lucifer was a covering cherub and it seems His vocal chords were adjusted for him to sing to the glory of God. He understands the language of music and has thus used it to deceive many. His master plan is to use the media to deceive as many as he can. Please don’t get me wrong not everything in the media is wrong there are some good things.

The arch deceiver understands the concept that by beholding you become changed.

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (King James Version)

 ¹⁷Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

 ¹⁸But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

God has given all of us a measure of faith and it grows or seldom does depending on what we feed our minds on. If you continue to listen to worldly music and indulge your self in worldly things you will not appreciate Godly things. We have been worshiping God the same way for several years & I don’t see anything wrong with the music that we sing in the church. I have learnt to appreciate the music considering my past and what I’m now. Hence we should not compromise the standards of worship that our forefathers as they were inspired to do so by the Holy spirit.

 Proverbs 14:12 

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

We can’t go by our own opinion when it comes to Godly things we have to do God’s will. Youth are crying out for lively worship and want to bring worldly things into the church.  We as a church cannot allow this even if it means that the number of our church members will dwindle. We cannot compromise God’s standards to please them.

We are the remnant church and a remnant is something identical to the original therefore that makes us unique. I agree with Ellen White when she says

    â€śThe use of musical instruments to create a bedlam of noise, shocks the senses and perverts the worship”

We are admonished not to conform to the world in order to draw people to the church. Conforming is a form of deception especially when it’s contrary to God’s word. The Gospel of Christ unites those who have given their lives to Christ and have chosen to deny self and take up the cross.
